Tehran intends to invite Armenia to meeting between Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Iran and Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran is organizing a meeting between Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Iran and Azerbaijan in a near future.

It is not excluded that Tehran will invite Armenia to participate in the trilateral meeting between Foreign Ministers, if the parties would not mind, according to Iranian Embassy in Baku.

However representative of Azeri Foreign Ministry kept from commenting on the initiative of Iran and stressed that the Iranian party’s proposal needs to be studied.

The meeting in trilateral format between Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Iran and Azerbaijan was first organized in Istanbul at the beginning of this year. Later on, April 16, the parties held a meeting in Iranian city Urmia.

The meeting resulted in signing a joint declaration consisting of nine provisions. The declaration states that it is necessary to boost political, economic and security cooperation among the three countries as well as to enhance ties in the fields of tourism, science and culture.

Besides, it was decided to hold the next Ministerial meeting on October 2011 in Nakhijevan, according to 1news.az.
