Armenia’s disabled sailing team drops out of England-hosted World ChampionshipsJuly 22, 2011 - 17:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s disabled sailing team has returned from England-hosted 2011 IFDS Disabled Sailing World Championships. According to the president of Pyunik Disabled Union and Armenian Paralympic Committee Hakob Abrahamyan, Armenian sportsmen were unable to continue their performance at the World Championship because of the illness of a team member. At the championship, Armenia was represented by Hovik-Shiraz Kostanyan, Sevak Mkhitaryan and the team’s captain Stas Nazaryan. Armenia’s participation in the championship was made possible through the assistance of London-residing Raffi Manukian. Next week, the sportsmen will start team practice session at Lake Sevan, in preparation for 2012 World Championship in Florida.
