Armenia captain: struggle for EURO 2012 is only starting

PanARMENIAN.Net - After the crashing 4:0 win vs. Slovakia in UEFA EURO 2012 Group B qualifier, Armenia captain Sargis Hovsepyan shared impressions of the match and the squad's prospects in a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

“We took time developing a special strategy. We knew the first 20 minutes into the game would be hard. We let Slovakia attack, full aware they’ll make mistakes on the defensive side. Which, actually, happened,” Hovsepyan said.

“The struggle for UEFA EURO 2012 is only starting. And we'll do our best to win the last 2 games against Macedonia and Ireland,” Armenian team captain stressed.

Armenia-Macedonia match is due October 7 in Yerevan, to be followed by the last EURO 2012 qualifier against hosting Ireland.
