Pirog vs. Martirosyan clash stirs major interest

PanARMENIAN.Net - Krasnodar, Russia, hosted a news conference on the oncoming clash between WBO middleweight champion Dmitry Pirog and WBO #1 Gennady Martirosyan.

According to Southern and North Caucasian Federal District Professional Boxing Association president, the oncoming combat stirred major interest.

“Moscow and St. Petersburg were vying for the right to host the match. Yet, Pirog chose his native city, Krasnodar, as the venue,” allboxing.ru cited Sergey Kostenko as saying.

On September 25, Dmitry Pirog will defend his WBO middleweight title against Gennady Martirosyan in Olympus Sports Palace. Tickets for the clash are available for 500 roubles; VIP tickets cost 30000 roubles.
