Aronian retains 3rd place at Grand Slam

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian tied his game against Spain’s Fransisco Vallejo Pons in the 6th round of Sao Paulo Grand Slam Final Masters to retain the 3rd place with 7 points.

Hukaru Nakamura of the United States has the same number of points after suffering a defeat by Vasili Ivanchuk of Ukraine, who keeps the lead with 13 points. Magnus Carlsen (Norway) and Viswanathan Anand (India) played in a draw.

In round 7, Aronian will face Carlsen.
