VICE PRESIDENT OF IRAN SPECIFIED ARMENIAN-IRANIAN PRIOR ENERGY PROJECTS

PanARMENIAN.Net - 31.08.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Iran-Armenia cooperation was discussed at the meeting of Armenia's Energy Minister K. Galustian, who is on a visit in Tehran, and First Vice President Dr Hassan Habibi.

Dr Habibi in the meeting voiced Iran's readiness to expand ties with the neighbor countries including Armenia, reports IRNA.

Hassan Habibi stressed the need for formulating a special program to accelerate the implementation of the agreements already reached between the two states.

Vice President of Iran called for continued cooperation with Armenia in the field of energy. Habibi said joint elaboration of the Meghri power plant, construction of a refinery in Meghri, construction of the Meghri-Yerevan-Georgia route and the Kajaran tunnel are prior projects of Armenian-Iran cooperation. -0-
