Expert: Turkey should normalize ties with Armenia to assist Karabakh talks

PanARMENIAN.Net - If Turkey seeks to contribute to Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement talks, it should first normalize relations with Armenia, Europe Program Director of the International Crisis Group said.

“Ankara expressed quite interesting ideas regarding the conflict settlement. However, Turkey has border problem with Armenia, which causes difficulties,” APA quoted Sabine Freizer as saying in Baku.

Dwelling on possible changes in the negotiation process, Freizer voiced skepticism over any kind of progress due to elections in Russia, U.S. and France.
