The official arrived in Georgia on Thursday morning and will hold a series of summits and attend a conference on the security and defense of Georgia at the Radisson SAS Iveri Hotel in Tbilisi. NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will visit Tbilisi on November 9-10. Appathurai noted that the Alliance is adhering to decisions made at the Bucharest summit of April 2008, where Ukraine and Georgia confirmed their commitment to becoming NATO members.
