Armenian FM: Armenia is committed to establishing peace in Afghanistan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian participated in Bonn-hosted international conference on security in Afghanistan.

In his speech Minister Nalbandian stressed Armenia’s commitment to its obligations, Foreign Ministry press service reported.

“Armenia is committed to establishing peace in Afghanistan and preventing rising level of terrorism,” he said.

A declaration confirming continued assistance to Afghan authorities in the process of establishing peace and stability in the country was adopted at the conference.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Afghan President Hamid Karzai, 60 foreign ministers from 100 countries and over 1,000 representatives of various countries attended the conference.
