Egyptian PM granted presidential powers![]() December 7, 2011 - 20:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Egypt's newly appointed prime minister was granted most of the powers of the president Wednesday, December 7, by the country's military rulers. Afterward, he swiftly moved to swear-in his cabinet. Prime Minister Kamal Ganzouri was given all presidential powers excluding control over the military and the judiciary. A day before the swearing-in, Ganzouri said on state television that "the new national government will be the salvation government of the January 28 revolution." The new cabinet will serve until the presidential elections, CNN reported. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
