French National Assembly reportedly adopts Armenian Genocide bill

PanARMENIAN.Net - French National Assembly reportedly adopted the bill criminalizing Armenian Genocide denial with 106 votes in favor and 19 against, according to Turkish media.

A draft law envisaging a one-year prison sentence and 45,000 euro fine for denying the Armenian Genocide was due to go before French parliament on December 22.

Meanwhile Turkey threatens France with retaliatory moves if the French parliament approves the bill.
