OSCE MG co-chair deems Madrid Principles as major accomplishment

PanARMENIAN.Net - OSCE Minsk Group outgoing French co-chair Bernard Fassier noted Madrid principles as the main achievement of OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries.

Bernard Fassier added that apparent progress was observed in negotiation process in 2009 when presidents of co-chair countries reiterated importance of conflict settlement on the basis of Madrid principles.

As for oversights during his activity, Fassier stressed ceasefire violations at contact line that monthly claim victims.

Bernard Fassier further noted co-chairs’ failure to encourage conflict sides to follow the principles that are on negotiation table.
