Armenian capital becomes another target of Azeri absurd propaganda

PanARMENIAN.Net - On December 23, Baku will host a presentation of Erevangala500.Com historical, analytical portal dedicated to 500th anniversary of 'Erivan fortress' on the site which Armenian capital Yerevan is presently located, Azeri media reported.

“The truth about Erivan fortress has long been carefully concealed in Armenia. The actual story of this Azerbaijani monument, that lay the foundation for Irevan city (later renamed Erivan and in Soviet period known as Yerevan), is unknown to both science workers and present-day residents of Yerevan and Armenia. The presentation of erevangala500.com portal will host speeches by scientists aimed at disclosing the true story of the fortress,” authors’ notification reads.

Certainly, Azerbaijani propaganda was not baffled by the fact that the whole civilized world perceives 782 B.C. to be Yerevan’s actual foundation date.

Assertion stipulating “stage by stage destruction of Erivan fortress as a direct proof that these lands and the city belong to Azerbaijan’s culture” was even more touching.

To hear these statements from representatives of a country that has made destruction of other nations’ cultural monuments a part of its state policy!

However, not only Azerbaijani state, but the mere name of the country did not exist 500 years ago, with Azerbaijani present-day territory making a part of Iran. This did not confuse authors of the portal either, as Azeri propagandists are inclined to turning a deaf ear to such “trifles.”
