ARMENIAN CUSTOM OFFICERS PREVENTED SMUGGLING CULTURAL VALUES

PanARMENIAN.Net - Officers of the customs of Armenia have prevented an attempt to illegally export a number of art items of national cultural value. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, passenger of Yerevan-Frankfurt air flight, a certain Dolidze had tried to illegally export three bronze statuettes of the epoch of neoclassicism, made by an unknown European craftsman in the 19-th century. The custom officers have also confiscated a Russian icon of the same period, which passenger of Yerevan-Teheran flight Sergey Harutyunian had tried to take to Iran illegally.
