RUSSIA PAYS PRIORITY ATTENTION TO REGIONAL CONFLICT SETTLEMENT IN CIS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia pays priority attention to regional conflict settlement in the CIS, first deputy foreign minister of Russia Vyacheslav Trubnikov told "Nezavisimaya Gazeta" Moscow newspaper. Speaking of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, he noted with regret, "this year - the year of presidential election in Armenia and Azerbaijan - the Karabakh settlement has "buzzed" in the expectation regime." Against that background, in his words, incidents in the confrontation zone have become more frequent. "The Russian diplomacy - both on its own and in close interaction with other co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (US and France) - urges the parties to display restraint and be especially balanced at the responsible moment being experienced," the diplomat said.
