RPA member: electoral bribe is vicious phenomenon

PanARMENIAN.Net - Electoral bribe is the most complex and vicious phenomenon, a member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia said.

As Hovhannes Sahakyan noted during a press conference in Yerevan on February 16, this practice exists in other countries as well, and it is very difficult to prove.

For her part, member of the opposition Heritage party Larisa Alaverdyan also touched upon the topic of the electoral bribe. “Too bad there is no external pressure; they just stand there and distribute money. Every house has “the one who gives out the money”, and everybody knows that,” she said.

The Armenian opposition blames the authorities for widely employing electoral bribes during the elections.
