Vartan Oskanian accepted to Prosperous Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former Foreign Minister, head of Civilitas foundation Vartan Oskanian officially joined Prosperous Armenia coalition party.

“As an experienced politician, Oskanian was more than welcome to the party,” the party’s press secretary Khachik Galstyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

On February 13, Oskanian filed an application to join Prosperous Armenia. “I’m confident the party will be able to promote fair elections in the country to form a parliament with better balance of political forces,” the ex-minister’s statement said.

”As Civilitas Foundation board chair, I had, on various occasions, expressed my views on events and developments in Armenia. Today, I believe it is time to become more actively involved in the country’s political processes,” Oskanian noted.

According to media reports, Oskanian will be among top 5 nominees in Prosperous Armenia candidates list.
