Russia, U.S. discuss situation in South Caucasus

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin met with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Gordon in Moscow on February 17.

The parties discussed the situation in the South Caucasus region, according to the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The relations of the two countries with Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova were also in the focus of the meeting.

Michael McFaul, the U.S. ambassador to the Russia was also attending.

Russia and U.S. are co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group on settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
