Klitschko vows to knock out Chisora in rematch

PanARMENIAN.Net - WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko said he wants to knock out Britain's Dereck Chisora in a rematch to “punish” him for his behavior before their last fight, RIA Novosti reported, citing German daily Die Welt.

“In spirit, I have no need for revenge but my ego tells me that this man deserves real punishment. I want to knock him out in the ring,” Klitschko told Die Welt.

Vitali Klitschko defended his belt after defeating Dereck Chisora in 12 rounds in Munich on Saturday night. The fight in Germany was preceded by a scandal after Chisora slapped the Ukrainian during a weight-in ceremony and spat water at Klitschko’s brother Vladimir before their WBC heavyweight title fight.

The World Boxing Council fined Chisora a reported $50,000 for the slap, Klitschko said any further punishment “has to really hurt.”

Klitschko now has a record of 44 wins and two defeats in 46 career fights.

Last year Klitschko defended his title twice, winning both fights by technical knockouts.
