Vietnam FM backs peaceful resolution of Karabakh conflict

PanARMENIAN.Net - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian who is on a visit to Vietnam met his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Binh Minh in Hanoi on February 24.

The parties discussed issues regarding development of bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and international problems, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.

Touching upon the Armenian-Vietnamese ties, the Armenian Minister said thousands of Vietnamese who got education in Armenia during the Soviet epoch and Armenians who worked in Vietnam tie the two countries and the two people in a special way.

The two ministers also agreed that the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations must become a turning point in the development of mutual cooperation.

Mr. Nalbandian presented the main trends and priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy, as well the process of Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. In this context, the Foreign Minister of Vietnam voiced support to peaceful resolution of Karabakh conflict basing on the international law.
