Russia may demand return of Armenian lands?

Russian presidential candidate and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) said that border changes will be required both in Europe and Middle East.

“As Armenia is closer to Russia, the latter will have a chance to demand for return of Armenian lands during conferences when the issue of Russia’s agreement to recognize the border change in the Middle East is raised,” Vladimir Zhirinovsky said at a meeting with representatives of Armenian organizations in Moscow, dwelling on Russian attempts to get back Armenian territories, namely Mount Ararat, Kars and Ardahan.

However, Zhirinovsky noted that the issue may be resolved only by top leadership since it controls foreign policy implementation, whereas LDPR with its leader solely displays the initiative.
