Pedestrian areas to be created for Sochi Olympics 2014March 3, 2012 - 10:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - 80 kilometer-long pedestrian areas will be created in Sochi for Olympic Games in 2014. The first renovated pedestrian areas with benches, garbage bins, guide signs, decoration and special lighting, as well as comfortable parking will be launched in Krasnaya Polyana village, interfax.ru reports. Project implementation will start in 2013 following end of construction of Olympic facilities and engineering infrastructures. RUB1 billion will be allocated for implementation of the pedestrian area project proposed by Austrian architects.
