ARMENIA TRYING TO MINIMIZE DAMAGE CONNECTED WITH TRANSPORTATION OF ARMENIAN CARGOES FROM BATUMI PORT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian authorities do everything within the limits of the possible to minimize the damage connected with the transportation of the Armenian cargoes from the harbor of Batumi, RA minister of transport and communications Andranik Manukian stated. To remind, trying to block itself from Tbilisi, Ajaria has detonated 5 railway bridges and dismantled the tracks along the bridge over River Inguri. As a result, in Manukian's words, 63 carriages with goods destined for Armenia are at the ferry in the port of Batumi at the moment. At present, negotiations with the Georgian party on transporting the ferry to the harbor of Poti are being held, the minister said adding that if the situation does not change, Armenia will receive loads through Poti and "it will be less expensive than through Batumi".
