ARMENIAN SPEAKER TO MEET WITH SWEDEN AMBASSADOR TO ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Parliamentary Speaker Artur Baghdasaryan met with newly appointed Swedish Ambassador to Armenia Johan Molander in Yerevan, reported the Press Service of the National Assembly of Armenia. Armenian Ambassador to Sweden Vladimir Karmirshalyan was also present at the meeting. At a request of the Swedish guest Mr. Baghdasaryan presented the process of reforms in Armenia, specifically, constitutional ones. He also noted that inclusion of Armenia in EU Wider Europe: New Neighbors Program provides for new opportunities of intensification of economic and democratic development of Armenia. In his words, thereupon Armenia needs both the experience and the support of Sweden. In his turn the Swedish Ambassador emphasized Armenia's importance and said his country was ready to promote the reforms, as well as development programs. In his opinion, a constitution and legislation meeting the EU standards will open new opportunities for Armenia making progress, thus promoting increase of investment to the country. The parties also noted the efficient operation of the Swedish Development Agency in Armenia.
