ARMENIAN FM MET WITH LEBANESE PRESIDENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Within its three-day visit to Lebanon Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian met with President Emil Lahoud today, reported the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. Conveying the regards of Robert Kocharian to the President, V. Oskanian said Armenia attentively follows developments in friendly Lebanon and is glad for stability being established in the country, which is also an achievement of Emil Lahoud himself. Touching upon the Armenian-Lebanese interstate relations, the Armenian FM said mutual interest of business circles has added recently to the high level political cooperation already established. Owing to it the volume of Lebanese investments to certain branches of the Armenian economy has increased, specifically in small and medium scale business. Besides the interlocutors exchanged views over international and regional matters of mutual interest. V. Oskanian briefed the President on the current phase of the Karabakh talks, as well as the process of normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations and Armenia's stance in the issue.
