Armenia is interested in strengthening and widening cooperation with Greece

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Armenian-Greek relations are developing dynamically and there exists a productive cooperation between our countries. Greece assists Armenia in various, especially in economic and defense spheres," Armenian President Robert Kocharian stated to a joint press conference with his Greek counterpart Karolos Papoulias. He said, Armenia highly appreciates the fact that students from Armenia study in Greek universities. "We are extremely interested in strengthening and widening the cooperation with Greece. We have a lot in common: culture, history, and friendship between our nations. I must underline that there exists a firm base for further mutually beneficial cooperation," Robert Kocharian said.



In his part Karolos Papoulias stressed that relations between the two countries are "excellent". "Our relations have a positive tendency to enlargement. During today's negotiations one more time we confirmed that cooperation field is very wide. We give great importance to cooperation in defense sphere and we have already agreed on organizing a visit by the Chief of General Staff of Greece to Armenia. We still have a lot of questions, which we did not have time to discuss, but are sure that close relations between Armenia and Greece will continue," Karolos Papoulias underscored.
