Armenian physician discovered medicine for curing a rare genetic pathology - the Periodic Disease

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian physician Anoush Ohanian has discovered a medicine for curing a rare genetic pathology - the Periodic Disease (familial Mediterranean fever). Anoush Ohanian, who is for a long time treating patients suffering from the Mediterranean fever, said this is a rare genetic pathology, which is often found mainly with the nations, ancestors of which used to settle the Mediterranean basin. Most of all Armenians, Jews, Arabs suffer from the Periodic Disease irrespective of the place where they live. As a rule, the disease begins in childhood or youth, at that the frequency rate reaches 1/10. "As you know, currently the modern medicine offers patents to take colchicine, which warns about fits and reduces their frequency, and its lengthy use decreases the risk of amyloidosis. At that, colchicine is being prescribed for lifelong use.

I am practicing a medicine made of herbs, which patents endure very much. It increases work efficiency, restores power. The frequency and strength of fits reduces after taking this medicine daily for about a month. During several months the disease begins to yield and patients who had strong fits of fever with frequency two times a month after having accepted this medicine suffered only 1-2 weak fits in 3-4 months. And after some months more they completely get rid of painful fits and feel quite well. It is necessary to take the medicine two or three times annually within 2-5 years (the term for using the medicine is individual for every patent) for preventive measures after undergoing the treatment course," she stated.

"I am ready to cooperate and share my experience, as well as carry out joint studies with my colleagues from countries surrounding the Mediterranean basin. Joint efforts and experience of physicians from various countries may bring greater benefit and relieve patents of their painful sufferings," Anoush Ohanian underscored.

The Periodic Disease (familial Mediterranean fever) is an autosome-recessive disease, which is characterized by short-time fever fits accompanied by pains in abdomen, thorax arthritis, acute peritonitis and sometimes erysipelatous inflammation of the skin. Amyloidosis of kidneys is the complication of this disease.
