Armenia-U.S. relations developed successfully in 2008

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenia -U.S. relations developed successfully in 2008, says the annual report issued by the RA Foreign Ministry.



On invitation of the U.S. government, Armenia's Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian visited the United States. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan attended the 63 rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York.



In fiscal year 2008, the United States allocated $58,5 million to Armenia as financial aid and $6 million to Nagorno Karabakh as humanitarian assistance.



The Armenian-American trade and transport committee has worked out a charter of economic relations.



Besides, the two countries signed an agreement on air communication.
