RA Ministry of Defense: Armenia will not cut military service termMarch 10, 2009 - 15:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "Armenian Army introduced a number of reforms, including rearmament and changes in the Army structure to provide country's security," Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan said during the meeting with students and professors of Engineering and Architecture University. He stressed that RA Ministry of Defense attached great importance to instilling of patriotic spirit in the youth. "Together with the Ministry of Education and Science we're planning to organize joint activities to provide closer insight into the life of a soldier. Still, combat training of a soldier will always remain our main priority."He added that Armenia does to plan to cut the military service term. "Every citizen of Armenia should be honored to do his civil duty and serve in the Army," Ohanyan emphasized.
