NATO EXERCISES TO BE HELD IN ARMENIAN TERRITORY JUNE 2003

PanARMENIAN.Net - NATO exercises within the framework of «Partnership for peace» program will be held in the Armenian territory in June 2003. Today deputy chief of NATO planning department Frank Boland told «Arminfo» agency about it. He found it hard to specify the date when the exercises would be held, noting that it became known only a few months before beginning them. Let us remind that such exercises are being held in the Georgian territory at present, and Armenia participates in them for the first time. Concerning the prospects of widening Armenian cooperation with NATO, Frank Boland emphasized that he was satisfied with the process of realization of "Partnership for peace" program, in which, as it is known, Armenia participates. He also reported that tomorrow negotiations devoted to the prospects of widening cooperation would be held in the Armenian defense ministry. "I hope that Armenia will soon become the 22-nd participant of "Planning and transformation" project," - Frank Boland noted.
