Heritage party organizes march to U.S. Embassy

PanARMENIAN.Net - A march organized by Heritage party started today at 2.40 p.m. local time at Saryan monument.



The demonstrators will march down Mashtots avenue towards the U.S. Embassy, where they will hand a letter to President Barack Obama, calling on him to recognize the Armenian Genocide at the hands of the Ottoman Empire.



Party member David Sanasaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter said they will be no protest slogans. "The demonstrators will carry the flags of all countries which recognized the Armenian Genocide," he said.



More than 20 countries, including 12 NATO allies, have recognized the Armenian Genocide, along with 41 U.S. states.
