ROBERT KOCHARIAN CONTINUES TO HAVE LEADING PLACE IN LIST OF MOST POWERFUL ARMENIAN POLITICIANS

PanARMENIAN.Net - This is the result of the poll held by «Panorama» Russian informational-analytic center and «Azg» Yerevan newspaper. As «Azg» newspaper reports, for the evaluation 10-grade system was used. Every expert chose ten most powerful figures from the list of 100 peoples - representatives of political, media and business elite- who had 10-1 grades of influence. According to the public opinion poll, Robert Kocharian got 98,8 grades.

The second place with 90.9 has the council of security secretary, defense minister Serge Sarkisian, and the third place has the premier Andranik Margarian (70.3). «National union» party leader Artashes Geghamian (37.5), foreign minister Vartan Oskanian(37), «Orinats Yerkir» party leader Arthur Baghdasarian (17), People's Party leader Stepan Demirchian (16.3), the chair of the parliamentarian commission on issues of defense, internal affairs and national security Vahan Hovannisian, the president's cabinet head Artashes Tumanian (14.3) and justice minister David Arutyunian (11) are included in the first ten of the most powerful politicians. Ex-President Levon Ter-Petrosian has the 18-th place, Nagorno-Karabakh's President Arkady Ghukasian has the 15-th. The most noticeable advance is in the first four of the list. Foreign minister Vardan Oskanian left the four and Artashes Geghamain, whose strict opposition position brought to the noticeable resource of power, has his place. Deputy Arthur Baghdasarian and chair of the commission on defense Vahan Hovannisian entered the list. After the collapse of the opposition «three», ratings of the People's party leader Stepan Demirchians and «Republic» party leader Aram Sarkisian decreased. But it should be noted that the poll was held before the tender for granting of the broadcasting channels that brought to the activation of the political struggle. The advance of the vice-speaker of the National Assembly Tigran Torosian is notable and this should be due to activities of the commission on constitutional reforms and ex-President Levon Ter-Petrosian's advance whose rating increased in the view of the attempts of consolidation of so-calles «ex-s» is also notable.
