Seyran Ohanyan, Celeste Wallander discuss Armenian peacekeepers' participation in ISAF

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met Thursday with Dr. Celeste Wallander, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, who is in Armenia on a two-day working visit.



The meeting was also attended by the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Marie Yovanovitch and U.S. Military Attaché in Armenia, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Webster.



During the meeting, the sides referred to Armenian-American defense cooperation, as well as accession of Armenian peacekeeping contingent to the mission of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). Dr. Wallander briefed Minister Ohanyan on her visit to the RA peacekeeping brigade, commending the mission of Armenian peacekeepers in Iraq and Kosovo, press service of RA Ministry of Defense reported.
