ARMENIAN DIRECTOR FILM NOMINATED FOR "OSCAR"

PanARMENIAN.Net - As we have already reported, Vigen Chaldranian Armenian film director "Symphony of silence" is nominated for "Oscar" prize of the American Film Academy. At a press conference held today the author of the film stated he counts on his picture to be selected for the final stage, where only five of the nominated works pass. It is known that works of film directors from over 80 countries are nominated for the best foreign picture. Three CIS countries - Armenia, Georgia and Uzbekistan are among them. The result of the selection will be announced February 12.
