TURK WOMEN TO HOLD AN ACTION FOR RIGHT TO WEAR TROUSERS AT WORKPLACE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today women in Turkey working in state offices intend to hold a protest action against the law passed 1982 to say women office workers do not have the right to appear at their workplaces in trousers. As reported by "Arminfo" agency making reference to "Associated Press", the action implies that women will go to work in trousers. Besides the ban to wear trousers in state offices of Turkey it is also prohibited to wear clothes without sleeves, with open parts of body as well as open footwear. In the opinion of member of the Joint Women Committee of Turkey Saheyla Isman, the majority of women have to wear covering clothes as the most part state offices do not heat.
