ELIZABETH JONES DISCUSSED THE QUESTION OF CONSTRUCTION OF IRAN-ARMENIA GAS PIPELINE WITH RA LEADERSHIP

PanARMENIAN.Net - The question of construction of Iran-Armenia gas pipeline was among the items discussed in course of meetings of US Assistant Secretary of State Elizabeth Jones with the leadership of Armenia. Jones, who has accomplished her tour to the Transcaucasus, stated to journalists today "this project is connected with certain problems, which are particularly conditional upon requirements of the American legislation". The law envisaging sanctions on countries, the companies of which invest into Iranian economy is meant. "But it does not mean that Armenia will not have an opportunity to participate in regional projects," - Elizabeth Jones stressed. In her words, "the main problems concerning this matter should be solved".
