Andrei Melville: Russia’s CIS-directed policy is a failure

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia’s CIS-directed policy is a failure, both declarative and factual, according to Andrei Melville, Professor of Political Science at Moscow’s Higher School of Economics.

As he noted at international scientific conference on Armenia-Russia relations in the light of regional security and stability, Russia has never had a clear and thought-out strategy on CIS.

Dwelling on Russia’s possible supply of S-300 missile systems to Azerbaijan, Melville said, “to Russia, it’s merely a trade operation.”
