Armenian Foreign Ministry advises Turkish political forces supporting normalization of ties to address their own government

PanARMENIAN.Net - The head of Armenian Foreign Ministry’s frontier states department Karen Mirzoyan commented on the refusal of Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian to meet with representatives of Powerful Turkey Party, currently in Yerevan.

“Political forces of Turkey, supporting normalization of ties with Armenia, should address their own government who artificially hinders the process by refusing to ratify the Protocols,” Mirzoyan noted.

“The Armenian and Turkish youth do not hide themselves behind closed borders any more. They easily come to the fore and state that the border must be opened. We have prepared an action plan that has 31 points. On October 28, I will leave for Yerevan with my team mates,” gtp.org.tr quoted the leader of Powerful Turkey Party Tuna Beklevic as saying.Further he said that they will convene a press conference in Yerevan and unveil their proposals to the Armenian society.”We will hold a meeting with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and ask to respond to our proposals. Further we will present the views of the Armenian society to the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. We will also hold meetings with Turkish President and Prime Minister,” he said.

Earlier, Beklevic and his party members had crossed the Armenian-Turkish border in the vicinity of Akhurian River – something the Russian front guards denied later.

Turkish politicians planned to organize a news conference in Armenia jointly with Analytical Centre on Globalisation and Regional Cooperation, yet were unable to rent a conference hall.
