ANC: restoration of PACE subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh unacceptableJanuary 28, 2011 - 16:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Coordinator of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabyan said that restoration of PACE subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh is unacceptable. The ANC has repeatedly voiced its stance on the matter, Zurabyan told a press conference in Yerevan. “The subcommittee’s restoration will draw away the attention from the Karabakh conflict discussion within the OSCE Minsk Group,” he said, adding that it will also allow Azerbaijan to strengthen its positions in the Karabakh conflict in other formats. Zurabyan noted that Armenia had managed to keep the negotiation process on the Karabakh conflict resolution within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group until 1998. However, the situation has changed since the moment when Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharian came to power. The ANC Coordinator did not exclude the possibility of subcommittee’s restoration.
