FOREIGN MINISTER OF ARMENIA AND EUROCOMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE MET IN YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, May 8. /Mediamax/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Vardan Oskanian met today in Yerevan with Kig Witterbrud, head of department for Central Asian and Caucasian states of the Chief Directorate of the European Commission for foreign affairs.

As Mediamax was told today in the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed questions concerning the upcoming visit of Armenian President to the headquarters of the European Union (EU) in Brussels.

Minister Oskanian drew Viterbrud's attention to the fact that Armenia is ready to consider the question of conservation of the Armenian nuclear plant only after the country is provided with alternative energy sources.

Armenian Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to EU for the support to the idea and realization of regional conference in Armenia on information technologies and for the promised financial assistance to that project. --0--
