Heritage activity controlled by certain centers, RPA member believes

PanARMENIAN.Net - A member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Hamlet Harutyunyan, finds it rather strange that Heritage party initiatives result in clashes with police, as opposed to many-thousand demonstrations of Armenian National Congress (ANC) which always end peacefully.

“My personal opinion is that local clashes of Heritage representatives are planned and controlled by certain centres,” Harutyunyan said, without clarifying his point.

Leader of Heritage parliamentary group Stepan Safaryan, in turn, advised to find out the reason behind clashes with police. “If the actions of police on February 28 at Yerevan Mayor’s Office, February 17 in Gyumri and Vanadzor were given legal assessment, the March 3 clash between the party representatives and police could have been prevented,” he stressed.
