Heritage party leader’s hunger strike alarming

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage party supports the decision of the party leader Raffi Hovannisian to go on hunger strike.

“By this action, Hovannisian attempts to alert Armenian authorities and the public to the situation inside the country,” party member Ruben Hakobyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

According to Heritage representatives, extraordinary parliamentary and presidential elections are the only way to resolve the persisting problems.

On Heritage’s behalf, Hakobyan urged all opposition forces in the country to forget about their ambitions and fulfill the people’s will. “Growing riot seeds in the society are fraught with unpredictable developments,” he added.
