NKR President: Azerbaijan artificially contributes to tenseness at frontline

PanARMENIAN.Net - During the March 18 meeting with Lithuanian Foreign Minister, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Audronius Azubalis, President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan expressed willingness of NKR to participate in the development of mechanisms for organization of monitoring and investigation in the Karabakh conflict zone.

“We told the OSCE CiO that contribution to tenseness at the line of contact is not advantageous for any of the parties. Azerbaijan artificially worsens the situation at the line of contact, aiming to hamper implementation of initiatives submitted by the mediators,” said Sahakyan.

At the same time, Sahakyan said that Stepanakert stands for imposing certain sanctions on Azerbaijan, if it again violates ceasefire.
