Serzh Sargsyan: Armenian Genocide recognition process irreversible

PanARMENIAN.Net - RA President Serzh Sargsyan issued an address on occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

“95 years ago today, April 24, an unprecedented monstrous crime was committed by the order of the Young Turk government, splitting the centuries-old Armenian history in two parts – before and after. Slaughter of one and a half million of Armenians and annihilation of an ancient culture were the result of the policy masterminded by the Ottoman state machine. The instigators of this appalling crime expected that those who survived will lose their national identity, scattering across the globe. But we were strong enough to revive and now we thank the countries which support our struggle for justice. The process of the Armenian Genocide recognition is irreversible. Today, we bow our heads to the memory of the innocent victims, who entrusted us to live for the sake of our homeland, our dream and the entire mankind,” the statement says.
