Khachkars Park opened in GyumriOctober 23, 2010 - 16:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Khachkars Park was opened in Gyumri to feature copies of medieval Armenian khachkars (cross-stones) destructed in Old Jugha. 20 khachkars created by sculptors of Gyumri have been already set there. However, their number will be brought to 100 in future. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to Shirak region, visited the Park. Azerbaijani servicemen destructed the old Armenian cemetery near Old Jugha in 2005-2006.
