Kempinski Hotel Yerevan expected to open in 2013February 4, 2011 - 18:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Kempinski Hotels have signed management agreements for three hotels, in Ekaterinburg (Russia), Marienbad (Czech Republic) and Yerevan (Armenia). The Yerevan hotel will mark Kempinski's entry in the Armenian capital. As these agreements were signed, Gianni van Daalen, Kempinski Hotels’ Regional President Europe, shared: “Kempinski is proud to open many new destinations, enriching our portfolio both with resorts and business hotels. All of the newly signed properties are set to become attractions, centres and contribute to the development of their respective destinations.” Ruben Grigoryan, CEO of Rutsog Invest, the properties’ owning company, added: “We are glad to continue our successful and long-standing cooperation with Kempinski, and believe that all of the new projects will develop these destinations thanks to Kempinski’s wealth of experience in luxury hotel management and their dedication to making each property a true part of each destination.” Kempinski Hotel Yerevan will be the first Kempinski hotel in Armenia. Ideally located on Amiryan Street, in Kentron district, and near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the new hotel will attract discerning leisure travellers, both from Armenia and abroad. The luxurious five-star property will offer 150 spacious and elegantly decorated rooms and suites. Kempinski Hotel Yerevan is expected to open in 2013. The hotel will be situated in close proximity to the main tourist attractions of the cultural metropolis, including the Republic Square, the Cascade complex, the ruins of the Urartian city of Erebuni, the State Opera House, numerous churches and other sightseeing highlights. The old and new city landscape is crowned with the view of the biblical Mount Ararat, attracting thousands of tourists every year, Kempinski said on its official website.
