Yerevan to host international conference on DiasporaMay 24, 2011 - 20:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 24, Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan met with Daly Belgasmi, the regional World Food Program (WFP) director for the Middle East, Central Asia and Eastern Europe, and Maria Lukyanova, WFP Head of Armenia Office. Hakobyan briefed on goals of the international conference, titled: “Prospects of Diaspora in Globalizing World.” The conference will be held on May 26-28 and bring together representatives of various countries’ relevant bodies. Belgasmi hailed the idea of the conference organization. Problems of Diaspora, as well as development of cooperation between the state and Diaspora were in the focus of the meeting, the Ministry’s press service reported.
