In response to this announcement, representatives of the RA Ministry of Nature protection said that this year too they will continue purification works of shore areas using modern technologies. In 2011, it is planned to purify from forest 283,3 hectares of shore areas of the lake . In 2010, 174 hectares were purified, of which 167,3 hectares were cleaned completely, while purification of the rest 6,7 hectares was transmitted to the program of 2011. This year two free of charge public beaches will be created in the recreational area, allowing citizens to rest freely on the shore of the lake. With this aim the government allotted AMD 62 million for construction works and AMD 4 million for design works.
