Official: foreign tourists show interest in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - 266 000 tourists visited Armenia in the first half of 2011, what is 15% more compared to the same period in 2010, representative of the Armenian Economy Ministry has said.

According to Mekhak Apresyan, the number of foreign tourists visiting Armenia grows year by year. “In a yearly outlook, the number tourists is expected to increase by 20%,” he said, adding that special projects are being developed to attract greater tourist flow to the country.
