Elina Danielyan wins the 1st Grand Prize game among women

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian playerElina Danielyan gained a victory over the French player, Marie Seba, at the start of the tournament of Grand Prize first stage series among women, having played with black chessmen. Overall, the results of the first game were rather promising. All the matches ended by the victoty of one of the parties, save the game with the Chinese player, Hau Ifan against the Georgian player, Maya Chiburdanidze.



It mist be mentioned that the first stage of the Grand Prize series among women players started March 6, Istanbul. Twelve players with the rating of no less than 2400 participated in the tournament. Elina danielyan was nominated for the tournament be the FIDE president, Irsan Ilyumzhinov.



On March 8, at the Grand Prize second game Elina Danielyan will compete with the Indian player, Humpy Coneru.

After the end of the last round a closing ceremony of Grand Prize first stage series among women players is to be held, March 9.
